Masa Orde Baru dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Kehidupan Bangsa Indonesia Tahun 1966-1977

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to find out about the background of the birth of the new order, the policies of the new order government and its influence on the life of the Indonesian people. The literature study method is carried out by searching and reading books that are relevant to the problems discussed. The steps taken by the author are topic selection, source collection, verification (source criticism), interpretation and writing. The new order began after the issuance of an order on March 11 from President Sukarno to General Suharto. The riots in terms of demonstrations occurred because President Sukarno did not fulfill the people's demands. The people's request is known as Tritura (Tri Demands of the People). After General Suharto accepted the task of securing it, he immediately took action to dissolve the PKI. The policy for the disbandment of the PKI was part of the people's request. The policies of the new order government were realized by carrying out political stabilization as well as economic stabilization and rehabilitation. The policies of the new order government influenced aspects of the life of the Indonesian people. President Suharto exercised power in an authoritarian manner. The power of the president during the new order was getting stronger, supported by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Indonesia (ABRI) and the entire Indonesian people. The policies of the new order government were manifested by various changes in the political, economic, social and cultural fields, law as well as increasing the resilience and security of the Indonesian nation.

Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui tentang latar belakang lahirnya orde baru, kebijakan pemerintahan orde baru dan pengaruhnya terhadap kehidupan bangsa Indonesia. Metode studi literatur dilaksanakan dengan cara mencari dan membaca buku-buku yang relevan dengan permasalahan yang dibahas. Adapun langkah yang dilakukan penulis adalah pemilihan topik, pengumpulan sumber, verifikasi (kritik sumber), interpretasi dan penulisan. Orde baru dimulai setelah keluarnya surat perintah sebelas maret dari Presiden Sukarno kepada Jenderal Suharto. Kerusuhan dalam hal demonstrasi terjadi karena Presiden Sukarno tidak mewujudkan permintaan rakyat. Permintaan rakyat disebut sebagai Tritura (Tri Tuntutan Rakyat). Setelah Jenderal Suharto menerima tugas mengamankan maka segera bertindak membubarkan PKI. Kebijakan untuk pembubaran PKI sebagai bagian permintaan rakyat. Kebijakan pemerintahan orde baru diwujudkan dengan melakukan stabilisasi politik serta stabilisasi dan rehabilitasi ekonomi. Kebijakan pemerintahan orde baru mempengaruhi segi kehidupan bangsa Indonesia. Presiden Suharto menjalankan kekuasaan secara otoriter. Kekuasaan presiden masa orde baru semakin kuat, didukung oleh Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Indonesia (ABRI) dan seluruh rakyat Indonesia. Kebijakan pemerintahan orde baru terwujud dengan berbagai perubahan dalam bidang politik, ekonomi, sosial dan budaya, hukum serta meningkatkan ketahanan dan keamanan bangsa Indonesia.
